If you want to dramatically improve your musculoskeletal treatments, this is not to be missed!

Curriculum Summary
Motor points are essential for treating any musculoskeletal disorder, yet many practitioners often don't use them to their full potential, instead using them as local ashi points. However when combined with proper assessment, and proper understanding of their properties, we can use them to produce dramatic and systemic changes to long standing neuromuscular holding patterns at the injures related to them.
In this seminar were are going to learn how to
- Employ precise muscle testing and assessment.
- Understand exactly where we need to be treating and what we need to see change.
- Accurately locate and stimulate motor points both manually and with the pointer plus.
- Apply protocols and strategies based on functional anatomy and sinew channel theory for unlocking common holding patterns and treating common injuries.
- How to incorporate many therapy techniques like PNF stretching and Muscle Energy Technique.
- How to form a comprehensive treatment plan based on accurate diagnosis.
What we’re going to cover:
Assessments:
- Manual Muscle Testing for the Upper and Lower Body
- Learn to identify maladaptive holding patterns and contextualize it according to TCM theory.
- Learn basic Sinew Channel theory informed by the Nei Jing and modern fascial science.
- Understand the relationship between global holding patterns and local injury.
Advanced Techniques.
- Learn to understand the therapeutic mechanism of a motor point.
- Learn to properly locate and needle myofascial motor points.
- Facilitate neuromuscular adaptations with manual and electrical stimulation.
- Learn how to check your treatment to ensure it has worked!
- How to integrate motor points into a full treatment for commonly seen musculoskeletal disorders.
Manual Therapy and Aftercare.
- Learn the basics of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching and Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
- Learn how to incorporate these techniques into a TCM treatment.
- Learn how to make clear and accurate recommendations for therapeutic exercise.
Participants will have access to demonstration videos and lecture material for 1 year on the Flying Crane Institute Community Platform.
